Lead-acid battery charging time matters:

  Lead-acid batteries are relatively large, generally weighing about 15-30 kilograms; while lithium batteries are relatively small, generally weighing 2.5-3.0 kilograms. From the quality of the two can be seen, it is difficult to define the good and bad, but consumers can be based on their actual needs, to buy regular manufacturers to produce good quality batteries.

  General electric car lead-acid battery charger, are using a three-stage charging mode, in the case of 100% used up electricity, charging time will be in the 8 ~ 10 hours, do not exceed 12 hours, so that the life of the battery will have an impact, it is best not to use each time to use up the electricity, it is recommended that the power consumption of 70% or so will be charging the electric car, charging time is generally in the 6 ~ 8 hours or so. Charging time is usually around 6~8 hours.

Charging precautions:


  1. Strictly abide by the charging specifications of various charging methods.


  2. Pay attention to the charging process of each single cell battery voltage and electrolyte density measurement, timely judgment of its charging degree and technical status.


  3. Pay attention to the temperature rise of each single cell battery during the charging process, in order to prevent the high temperature from affecting the performance of the battery, and if necessary, use the air-cooled or water-cooled method to reduce the temperature.


  4. The initial charging work should be carried out continuously, can not be interrupted for a long time.


  5. When preparing and filling electrolyte, strictly observe the safety operation regulations and the use of utensils.


  6. When charging, cold water and 10% of the mass fraction of soda or 10% of the mass fraction of ammonia should be prepared to deal with the electrolyte spilled.


  7. When charging, open the lid of the battery's liquid filling hole, so that hydrogen and oxygen can escape smoothly to avoid accidents.


  8. The charging place should be equipped with ventilation equipment, and it is strictly prohibited to use open flame for lighting or heating.


  9. Charging should be connected to the battery connection line, stop charging, should first cut off the charging power; wire connection should be reliable, to prevent sparks.




Lead-acid battery maintenance methods


  1、Don't just replace the charger, don't remove the speed limit of the controller.

  If the mileage requirement of riding is longer, you can use more than one charger, the daytime charger to make up for the charging of the charger to use another supplementary charger, and at night with the original charger. Remove the speed limit of the controller, although it can improve the speed of some cars, in addition to reducing the safety of the car, but also reduce the battery life.


  2、Protect the charger

  Nowadays, the charger basically does not do high vibration-resistant design, many of the charger after vibration, the internal potentiometer will drift, which will make the whole parameter drift, resulting in the charging state is not normal. It is also important to note that the charger should be kept ventilated during charging time, otherwise it will affect the life of the charger and may also affect the charging state. This will all form damage to the battery, so it is very important to protect the charger.


  3, charge every day

  Charging every day will keep the battery in a cyclic state, and the life of the battery will be extended. Lead-acid battery memory benefit is not so strong, often discharge the battery life is very big. A lot of chargers in the indicator light changes to indicate that after fully charged, the battery is charged at 97% to 99%. Although only charging 1% to 3% of the power, the impact on the driving ability is almost negligible, but also the formation of undercharging accumulation, so the battery is fully charged after the light or continue to float charge as far as possible, to inhibit battery sulfation is also beneficial.


  4, timely charging

  Timely charging can eliminate not serious sulfation, if not timely charging, these sulfide crystals will accumulate and gradually form coarse crystals, general charger on these coarse crystals is unable to do anything, will gradually form the battery capacity decline, shorten the service life of the battery.
